Where We`ve Come From

Luisa began her sewing profession in Italy in the early 1950`s through an Italian gentleman who taught her and others how to make dresses. When he wasn`t satisfied with the quality of the workmanship, he would throw the dresses out of the second story window.

At 14, this impressed upon her the value of taking utmost pride in all of her work which she still stands by today. When Luisa settled in Canada, she started  a sewing business out of her basement to channel the trade she had learned in Italy.

Since 1969, Luisa’s Draperies has delivered custom home décor solutions to its clients with a personal touch.

We are a family run business with a passion for design and creativity in the home.
 

Paula is an interior designer with over 35 years of work experience. Her design intuition and knowledge ensures you will have expert vision and advice for your home.

Marco also has extensive experience in the window covering business with a marketing background from his undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph. His specialization in commercial window coverings and motorization are unique in the Tri-City and surrounding area.
